About Guru Raghavendra Swamy

Sri Raghavendra Swamy (Raghavendra Tirtha, lovingly called Rayaru; రాఘవేంద్ర స్వామి / ರಾಘವೇಂದ್ರ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ) was a 17th-century saint of the Madhva tradition. He entered Brindavana (jeevasamadhi) at Mantralayam on the banks of the Tungabhadra, which remains one of South India's most visited pilgrimage places. Devotees revere him for his wisdom, compassion and devotion, and according to tradition he is regarded as an incarnation of Prahlada. Thursdays are considered especially auspicious for his worship, and his Aradhana is observed every year at Mantralayam. Many devotees believe his blessings bring peace and relief from obstacles. This print brings his calm presence into your home or prayer space.
